Video podcast for July 2006 -
Saloon No. 10

Show notes:
  • Wild Bill Hickock was killed on August 2, 1876 in Mann & Nuttal's Saloon No. 10. Deadwood's current Saloon No. 10 recently expanded into a new addition, extending the bar area on the first floor and the restaurant on the second floor, while adding a new outdoor rooftop terrace. Here is a video clip from the grand opening party and an interview about its history with two of the owners, sisters Louie Lalonde and Laurie Keehn. They talk about a 19-foot-wide addition to the original Saloon No. 10 which became a poker room downstairs and the Charlie Utter Theater upstairs, where the evening festivities were held when 11 HBO Deadwood actors visited in June 05.
